Curry leaves are rich in carbohydrates, antioxidants and minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, copper, magnesium and iron. Vitamins A, B, E and C are also some of the significant nutrients present. They contain an insignificant amount of fat making them almost fat-free. They prove a good remedy for easing indigestion, diarrhoea and nausea, and possess "anti-carcinogenic" and "anti-diabetic" properties. They help improve eyesight, hair growth, and prevent cataract.
Curry leaves are mainly used as seasoning in curries and sabjis. The extract is used in hair oil and to make juice.
