DetailsTepatta, also known as bay leaf, is dried aromatic leaf from Cinnamon tree (cassia tree) or Malabar leaf. Tejpatta has a mild aroma similar to that of cinnamon bark. The use of Tejpatta in the dishes adds a sweet aromatic flavor to curry sauce, rice, and stews. While cooking a couple of whole dried, Tejpatta is fried in oil or ghee and braised with sauce. Tejpatta is removed, before serving the dish. Tejpatta is not usually broken down and mixed with sauce. 50 gm.
